Digital Photography Instruction & Adobe Lightroom Training

Coast of Maine Photography Workshop

With David Marx

September 27 - October 2, 2020

The coast of Maine is a photographer’s paradise. This all inclusive workshop at the award-winning Spruce Point Inn is a terrific opportunity to improve your landscape and travel photography skills while enjoying the hospitality of Maine’s finest resort. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn, shoot, and to enjoy all of the stunning beauty that surrounds the mid-coast of Maine.

During this workshop, we will photograph beautiful harbors, remote lighthouses, and working lobster boats. We will discuss contemporary digital photography techniques in our classroom each day and then head out to practice our new skills along the gorgeous coastline that surrounds picturesque Boothbay Harbor.

Details:

  • This workshop begins with a group dinner on September 27th and ends with a closing slideshow on the morning of October 2nd. This workshop will end by 11am on the 2nd.

  • We’ll be based out of the Spruce Point Inn Resort in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

  • This workshop is open to photographers of all experience levels.

  • Although this is not a strenuous workshop, participants should be in good physical condition and able to negotiate stairs and rocky, uneven terrain.

pricing & Registration:

The cost of the workshop varies based upon your room selection.

Please call Cindy Poe, Reservations Manager at the Spruce Point Inn, at 1-800-553-0289 to reserve your space in this small group photography seminar.

This is an all inclusive event. The workshop fee includes five nights lodging, meals, instruction, taxes and gratuities. Additional days and activities may be added at exclusive rates.

Spouses / Travel Companions: There are some workshop locations that are better for the non-photographer than others. This workshop is one that we highly recommend for those traveling with non-photographer companions.

Boothbay Harbor is a delightful little town with cute shops, good restaurants, and lots for your non-photographing companions to explore on their own. This is place where those who are not participating in our workshop will find plenty to do around the resort, or in town, while we are out on our field shoots.

While we will do our very best to include your companions in all of our meal breaks and travel plans, our top-priority is on getting you out to the most photogenic locations at those times of day when the light is likely to look its very best.

I attended the Maine Coastline photography workshop in Sept 2013, led by David Marx. The Inn was GREAT! The location is wonderful, the staff is amazing and the Inn facilities are top notch. The food was great and they catered to the needs of all guests. If you want to learn more about photography in an idyllic setting - this is the place and he’s the teacher. —Alison C.
